The intent of this test is to determine the ability of a fiber opticinterconnecting device towithstand a load that might be encountered when a wheeled vehicle isdriven over the device.
CAUTION: This test shall only be performed on interconnecting devicesdesigned to meet therequirements.
Typical indications of damage resulting from the test are:
Inability to mate or unmate.
Broken parts or accessories.
Loss of optical continuity.
Damage to seals.
