This Specification details definitions, methods of measurement,and minimum performance characteristics for Position LocationCapable Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) mobile stations. ThisSpecification shares the purpose of [1] (and subsequent revisionsthereof) by ensuring that a mobile station’s location can bedetermined in any wireless system that meets the compatibilityrequirements of [1].

Test methods are recommended in this document; however, methodsother than those recommended may suffice for the same purpose.
